FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): At least five police personnel were killed another 13, including a civilian, wounded as result of a heavy bomb blast in western Farah province on Wednesday evening, an official said.
Deputy Police Chief Wahid Subat told Pajhwok Afghan News that five policemen were killed and a civilian among 13 others wounded in the bomb blast.
He said the wounded policemen were in stable condition.
He said the causalities were occurred when some explosive devices placed in a Zaranj type vehicle, went off near to the provincial police headquarters this evening.
Meanwhile, Ahmadullah, a resident of the area, told Pajhwok that a number of people had suffered financial losses due the heavy bomb blast in the area.
There was no immediate claimed of responsibility for the blast.
