FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): A research shows water and climate of western Farah is suitable for growing date trees and if necessary measures are taken, the province could become a dates exporting region, an official says.
Agriculture Director Eng. Abdul Manan Matin told Pajhwok Afghan News they conducted the research on the growth of date trees in Farah during the past two years.
He said water and weather of Farah was more similar to that of gulf countries and therefore date trees could grow and produce a bumper . . .
