FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Wheat harvest has almost doubled in western Farah province this year, compared to the past year’s yield, an official said on Thursday.
Agriculture Director Eng. Abdul Manan Matin told Pajhwok Afghan News all crops, especially wheat, produced this year in Farah had good quality and quantity.
He said last year wheat was cultivated on 16,750 hectares of land including 30 hectares rain-fed. He said 4,000 hectares was sown with refined seed crop and the remaining with local seed.
