ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Officials claim a 70 percent decline in illegal migration to neighboring Iran and European countries through southwestern Nimroz province.
Multiple issues such as continued fighting, poverty and other issues are blamed for forcing Afghans in thousands to illegally travel to other countries in search of a better future, but many of them have reportedly lost their lives in the dangerous journey.
Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Faryab who currently lives in Nimroz, said he decided to travel overseas after failing to find work here.
