GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Hundreds of people from two districts of southern Ghazni province, in an attempt to make it to Europe illegally, have lost their lives at sea, officials said on Tuesday.
Mohammad Zafar Sharif, administrative chief of Jaghori district, told Pajhwok Afghan News a large number of youth from the town embarked their journey to Europe due to economic problems.
“I don’t have exact figures, but I can say nearly a thousand youth of the district traveling to Europe have failed to reach European countries and lost their lives in the process,” he . . .
