Pine nuts weighing some 2,000 tons were harvested in Nangarhar last year, a MAIL statement quoted Nangarhar’s agriculture director Rafiullah Rahimzai as saying.
His department created ‘a proper policy’ for agriculture development and the policy would go into effect once endorsed by the Presidential Palace and the Agriculture Ministry.
Under the new policy, Rahimzai said pine nut forests in Nangarhar would be revived and modern factories of pine nuts processing would be established to help . . .
