Suicide bomber strikes NATO convoy in Parwan

CHARIKAR patrolling convoy near a major US military base in the Bagram district of central Parwan province on Wednesday.

Parwan police chief Brig. Gen. Mohammad Mehfooz Walizada told Pajhwok the attack took place in Shinzai area, destroying a NATO tank. He said no one was hurt in the attack and only the attacker was killed.

NATO Resolute Support Mission also confirmed to Pajhwok an IED exploded during a Resolute Support patrol in Bagram district of Parwan province wounding three service members.

The Taliban claimed the bomber targeted American forces and caused them casualties. The rebels did not provide figures for casualties to foreign troops.
