MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Agriculture officials in eastern Laghman province say they have set up 77 walnut nurseries for as many families in Alingar, Alishang and Dawlat Shah districts to promote domestic economy.
Forests and pastures expert at the department Eng. Tooryalai Pagham told Pajhwok that 40 walnut nurseries had been established in Alingar, 30 in Dawlat Shah and 17 in Alishang districts.
He said 12000 walnut trees had been distributed in the mentioned districts and each plant was grown against 30 afghanis.
A resident of Dawlat Shah district, Qari Khair Mohammad, said he was happy that the agriculture department provided work . . .
