KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MoAIL) says the harvest of pine nuts has significantly increased in eastern Nangarhar province.
The ministry estimated the harvest of pine nuts this year at 783 tons.
In a statement, MoAIL said that there was a significant increase in the production of pine nuts.
The ministry estimated the yield of the harvest at 783 tons while it was 627 tons last year.
There are more than 11609 hectares of natural pine nuts forests in Hesarak, Sherzad, Khogyani, Pachiragam, DehBala, Kot, Achin and Spin Ghar districts, where hundreds of poor women work . . .
