KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Agriculture officials say 360 families struggling with poverty were distributed improved quality vegetable seeds and farming equipment in northern Kunduz province.
They said the aim of the seed distribution was to assist families without caretakers, who would be able to get benefit of the seeds by growing vegetables and offer them to the market.
MulaviAmanullah Hassan, agriculture director of Kunduz province, said that vegetable seeds, including tomatoes, okra, wheat, measles and onion, were distributed to 360 poor families.
"The cultivation of these vegetables requires very little land and is more easily irrigated with tools given to them . . .
