KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting foreign minister has denied any links between the Taliban and al-Qaeda, saying a weak government and instability in Afghanistan is not in the interest of anyone, stressing on the release of Afghanistan’s assets.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Amir Khan Muttaqi said that a weak government and instability in Afghanistan was not in anyone's interest and the country was trying not to engage in conflicts with anyone and become self-sustained.
He called on the US and other countries to unblock over $9 billion in assets of Afghanistan.
