PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Majority of farmers in Central Logar province complained about the ongoing drought that hit their farms and said they are unable to pay Usher to the government.
Ahmad Zubair, a farmer from Pul-I-Alam city told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Due to drought we collected a small amount of harvest from our land”.
He added that there was little rainfall this year and the water canals and deep wells have dried. He asked the government to exempt them from Ushar for this year.
