KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting government has planned to round up beggars in the capital Kabul and resolve their problems, an official said on Monday.

Mawlavi Abdullah Ezzam, secretary of the Acting Prime Minister’s Economic Aide Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar, on his Twitter handle wrote: “In compliance to Ameerul Momineen Mullah Habatullah Akhunzada’s decree Mullah Beradar in coordination with other government institutions would soon start to round up baggers in Kabul city and address the problems faced by them”

He said beggars who are skilled in any field would go through the biometric process and would be provided jobs in the same field.

Azzam said the elder family members of beggars would provide a guarantee that in the future these individuals will not return to begging.
