PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): A dozen cold storage facilities are being built to preserve onions in central Logar province, an official said on Monday.
The cold storages are being established in Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, and Baraki Barak district with financial support of the ministry concerned, said Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Department spokesman Shahidullah Hamraz.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock was building eight onion cold storages in Pul Alam and four in Baraki Barak district, with each having the capacity to store seven tons of onion.
