GARDEZ (Pajhwok): The Information and Cultural Affairs Department of southeastern Paktia and a private school have provided free of cost learning opportunity to 1,500 children, including girls.
Information Director Qari Sawabuddin Islamyar told Pajhwok Afghan News most students during winter cannot study due to poverty and economic issues.
For this reasons, he said the information department provided learning opportunity to 400 students.
These students are provided English language, mathes and writing lessons by four teachers.
Separately, the Zamzam Private School provided learning opportunity to 1,100 boys free of cost.
“We provided free of cost learning opportunity to 1,100 boys and girls in winter. The first shift is from class one to six and the second shift is from class six to 12th,” said the school in-charge Obaidullah Abid.
“This is a happy movement for us that we offered a free of cost winter lessons to the students. It is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn instead of moving here and there,” he said.
