MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Second hand items sellers in northwestern Faryab province have been satisfied with the market situation saying comparing to past years more people were buying second hand items.
Yar Mohammad, one of the second hand stallers in Maimana, said comparing to the past years people are more interested in second had items.
This comes that Maimana Municipality has allocated a special place for second hand sellers in the City.
Yar Mohammad is disappointed because he did not go to school but his children are attending school.
Abdul Hai, another second hand item sellers, said their market had flourished these days and have more customers, adding that the economic condition of people was not good thus more people preferred to purchase second hand items.
Hailing from Pashtonkot district, he said over the past few years he lived in Maimana and strived to feed his 7-member family.
People unable to buy new items
Shah Mohammad, the resident of Balcharagh district, said he wanted to go to Iran for work thus he purchased used jacket and court.
He said he purchased one jacket and a court 250 afs but the same first hand item was available at 1,500 afs in the market.
Humaira, one of the second hand customers who was present in the bazaar, said the economic condition was not good and people were unable to purchase new cloth.
She said her husband was in police in the past government and her elder son was clerk but after regime change both went to Iran for work.
