KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Government has introduced 30 percent custom duty on persimmons, included the fruit in its duty list and surged potatoes duty from 30 to 50 percent, according to a statement on Thursday.
According to a statement from The Ministry of Finance (MoF) 30 percent custom duty punched on importing persimmons and increased the seasonal duty of potatoes from 30 percent to 50 percent.
It added said: “Upon the request of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the approval of MoF to support the farmers of the country, the MoF included the persimmons in seasonal custom duty . . .
