TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): The Information and Culture Department of central Uruzgan province says it has launched a three-month educational program to help nearly 900 youth learn English language, computer and scientific education free of cost in Tirinkot, the provincial capital.
Qari Agha Wali Qurashi, Uruzgan information and culture director, told Pajhwok Afghan News about 880 youth hailing from Tirinkot and districts have been enrolled in the program.
He said graduation certificates would also be given to the students on graduating from the course.
The program organized by the Information and Culture Department was aimed at encouraging the youth to study and increase their abilities.
Youth studying in the program are also happy.
Shafiullah, a resident of Tirinkot city, said youth in the districts and remote areas lacked access to education facilities and this program gave them a chance to learn different subjects.
The Information and Culture Department had previously organized such programs for the youth in the province.
