KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): At least 5,000 acres of rain-fed land has been converted to agricultural land with the digging of 3,500 deep water wells equipped with the solar system in northern Kunduz province.
Abdul Ghaffar Sidiqi, director of agriculture, said about 3,500 deep wells had been dug up in the past two years in different parts of the province, producing fruitful results for farmers.
He added: “In the past two years, wells equipped with solar power systems have been dug up in different areas of the province. More than 5,000 acres of rain-fed land . . .
