AIBAK (Pajhwok): Samandar is nine years old boy who got injured in a bomb blast in Jihadyah Madrassa in northern Samangan province and currently receive treatment in the Provincial Hospital.

The unfortunate incident happened on November 30 in which 20 people were killed and 25 others injured. Most of the casualties were madrassa students.

Samandar’s hand got injured in the incident. He said they were praying the afternoon prayer when suddenly there was a huge explosion.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News: “It was afternoon pray time all were busy in worship when there was a sudden explosion, there was fog and the smell of explosives everywhere. Few minutes later I knew that my hand is in pain and was unable to be moved.”

He said later when he became conscious he saw the bodies of his friends and some were in injured condition most of them admitted in the hospital.

He stopped for a movement and then said: “We came to offer pray, we are innocent children, we harmed nobody than what happened that this incident happened and all were perished.”

Samandar hailed from the Royi Du Ab district and said his father is a farmer and sent him to Aibak to study but he got injured in a blast.

Enayatullah, 10, is another injured student in another room. He got injured in face and legs and spoke in difficult condition.

He said: “I saw an individuals with a bag who asked me where he could take ablution. He put the bag and disappeared and after few second I heard the sound of explosion and then felt unconscious and brought to the hospital.”

He added Sanaullah is another one of their friend who got martyred in the incident. Some of his classmates went to the city if they were present a large number would have been killed and injured.

Enayatullah’s father Shamsuddin told Pajhwok Afghan News: “My son study here from less than one year, sometimes I talked to him on telephone. When this accident happened a security personnel contacted me an informed me about this incident. Thanks to Allah now his health condition is good.”

He asked security personnel to take steps in the security of schools and Madrassas.

Syed Zahir Fazel, a teacher and a civil society activist, said: “I dream a durable peace for my country and people. Since peace and security is the requirement of every society then the Islamic Emirate should take immediate steps in this regard to ensure the safety and security of masses.”

It is worth mentioning that after political change in the country it was the first bombing in Samangan inside a madrassa that inflicted casualties on students.

According to health officials in Samangan 20 people were killed and 25 others injured.

Most of the killed and injured individuals were children less than 18 years old who were busy studying in this Madrassa.

No group claimed responsibility for the blast.
